Mind boggling craziness
Trust me when I said that my entire life went topsy-turvy since last saturday when I was suddenly told that I was going to Hong Kong and Canada in a few weeks time.
Yes, I'm going HK and Canada.
In which BOTH require visas!
I've been running around like a mad hound doing all sorts of crap just for this!
Grrr... I don't understand why these ppl can't just let me go without all the hassle and haggle about unneccessary details like how big my face need to be on the photo which MUST have a white background (in which I HAD to go and take new ones) and getting all sorts of letters and bank stuff that tells them that I am going there for a holiday and have billions and billions to spent there and NOT because I wanna go there and jump aeroplane!
Argghhhh!
But the icing on the cake would be the THREE hour wait at the visa place just to get my visa done! (Like someone I know would put it blandly, "3 hours??!?! That's a lot of sleep!")
And that's just for the Canadian visa.
Next on, China. But at least that doesn't require my presence, so I'm not allowed to rant about it.
Though it may all seem exciting as I'll be travelling for about a month or so (Do I hear the hurrays now that I'm gone? :P), it's all tentative, and I'm not sure when and where I'll be posted as a doctor yet.
I hate tentatives.
But if you think about it, it's exhilarating to buy just one way tickets to HK and Canada. Like I'm going for an adventure or something and not come back. Haha. (One way because I cannot fix my return dates until I know when I'll be posted. In which I have absolutely NO IDEA. haha) (Oh, embassy ppl, just joking ok. I'll DEFINITELY come back here :P )
Yup, one of the many reasons why I've not written anything for the past week (Not because I'm lazy, but because I'm BUSY :P) Sorry k?
Oh, and believe it or not, I was suppose to do a KL-HK-San Francisco-Vancouver-HK-KL thing (All planned by my mom within half an hour last sat. Not joking. She's a pro at this.) but the plan fell out because I felt it wasn't worth it to pay so much for a US visa. It would indefinitely add more rants here because it would involve ANOTHER round of visa havoc, and this time gotta go for interviews somemore! (And I'm in no mood for any more interviews since the last one was... Ermmm... Interesting. Blek.). Plus, I'm not that interested to go US anyway. Never did, probably never will :P
Finally, I have a holiday! (Everyone's been asking me what I have planned since I finished my exams, and honestly, I didn't have any until now k :P)
Excited? Hmmm... Not yet. But I still have much time till the 16th when 'I'm leaving on a jetplane..' *sings to the song* :P
As for today, I just made my most rash decision ever.
I just said yes to river rafting tomorrow.
Yup.
Me.
The one in which the outdoors doesn't really agree with.
(Just to quote my dearest sis, "My sis is about as energetic as a doormat.")
WATER RAFTING.
I'm screwed, rite?
Bleah.
But it's a gotta-do-at-least-once-in-lifetime-so-die-die-la kind of thing :P
Wish me luck.
Pics, if I have any, the next post! :)
PS: I'm going ALONE to HK and Canada, btw. If you must know :P But then again, it's not the first time I'm doing something like this. Keke. It's me, after all.
PPS: Aeroplane food! Here I come! :P Muahahahah
